About
A program of the Institute for Advanced Study, one of the world's foremost centers for theoretical research and intellectual inquiry, the Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) is an intensive conference of parallel sets of activities aimed at different groups of participants across the entire mathematics community: researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students, faculty programs, and professional development & leadership for teachers K 3-12.
Many videos here feature the main research theme of the Gradate Summer School at PCMI, and consist of several interwoven mini-courses and cross-program talks on different aspects of that theme. These courses are taught by leading experts in the field, chosen not only for their stature in the field but their pedagogical abilities.
Held in Park City, Utah, all participants of IAS/PCMI meet simultaneously, pursuing individual courses of study & participating in cross-program activities so that each group may learn from the others.
