So I _am_ happy we have grip sense as an extra feature on the Controller, but because of it existing, I wish we had a way to separate Deck and Controller configs instead of them being linked ★ 1 the Steam Controller inheriting configs from Deck has generally been really nice for having the controller mostly set up for games I play, with minimal if any tweaks required but the config goes both ways. And for games where I use gyro, … ★ 2 oh hey I got my first ever pull requests sent in by a vibe coder (literally self-described as one on their GitHub profile, too, as if that's a badge of honor). one of which, of course, isn't even remotely a proper fix for the issue it's li… actually, no, the note immediately after of "Fixed the game sometimes being stuck on the XBox control scheme even when playing on a handheld device with a connected mouse and keyboard" is probably what led to the behavior I just mentioned … Kingdom Come Deliverance 2's latest update (patch 1.5.6) includes the note of "Implemented support for the Steam Controller", but without any further elaboration from brief testing, it seems they made it to where the game actually switches… now that I've had the new Steam Controller for nearing two months....the Steam Deck's d-pad feels so bad in comparison. All of the other inputs on the Deck are still good, but Valve really made the Controller's d-pad feel so much better ★ 1 considering the mentions that Steam Frame was apparently less affected by the RAM/SSD situation than Steam Machine, I'm surprised Machine is launching first but maybe that's because of the Frame's emphasis on the streaming-first experience… ★ 2
