This air quality sensor breakout board from Adafruit just measured the PM 2.5 AQI as 59 outside my front door (which isn't that great), but it matches exactly what AirNow.gov is currently reporting.
The AirNow.gov numbers are based on multiple sensors and modeling, so I really had no idea how close they would be.
Now I have to figure out a way to use the board that doesn't require taking my laptop

More fun with the Metro Arduino board, which is supposedly playing back an infrared signal recorded from a remote control. This circuit sends pulse width modulated output from the Metro (yellow) to the base of a transistor, which pulls the anode of an IR LED low (blue). It's definitely transmitting something, since I can receive it with a Flipper Zero, but I couldn't get it to control my TV.

That make a lot more sense. (I had moved the probe hours earlier and apparently forgot.) Hold on. I just realized the blue trace must be measuring something else.
