Now a squirrel accidentally snuck up on her and booked it loudly after coming around a corner and face to face with a fox. Grandmama fox was startled into jumping up, but was in no position to actually catch the squirrel.
I swear she showed up the instant I put the mower away.
Spouse just combined 3 lbs of citric acid and 2 lbs of baking soda rapidly, in the kitchen. Biggest baking soda volcano ever, and what a mess. Maybe a bit of instruction on the DIY de-rusting compound would have been helpful.
Apparently having a fox back off about 20 feet and sit down and watch you walk by can be a little unnerving even if you're a really substantial dude.
Well, I posted that and now he's here, so yay!
Also the whole family of foxes showed up in the back yard, so he's about to go scare them off. Hopefully not for too long.
I feel like I should be taking odds on whether he shows up today like he said he would. His track record is... not good. On the other hand, when he did show up he seemed to know his stuff really well.
I just spilled a drink on my keyboard for the first time in over 20 years. I guess it's going to be one of those days.
Slept hard until 3:00, and then couldn't get back to sleep. Managed to get an early start on work, which is good because I'm sure I'll be running out of gas even earlier than usual.
