Today is a bit of a rough anniversary.
At this time one year ago today, I stood in the floodwaters rushing into our home in the Rio Grande Valley, and wondered if the roof was going to cave in.
I write about my reflection on this event on …
The fun thing about my sleep schedule is that it doesn't exist.
Which is not fun, all things considered. :(
1,200-odd words in the work in progress tonight. Pleased with my progress, but am also sad that my brain doesn't want me to continue to to feelings of unwellness.
Ah well. To bed I head!

Officially cracked 20K in my WIP tonight. Very pleased with myself!
I am very offended that the BBC's miniseries of LORD OF THE FLIES is region-locked.
While I can get that it's... the BBC... I do not know why they cannot release it across all territories.
While I know it's not a perfect (or even an ideal) platform, I am thinking of navigating my "reader group" (or at least redirecting them) to my Substack.
At the very least: it's notifications work better than Facebook's.
I'm gonna ruminate…
