The Chromium commit tracker can now count unique contributors. It's neat to see how this has changed over time, and great to see Microsoft nearly back up to their peak! Thanks to
@arthursonzogni for adding!
[Note: Google omitted as it dominates at 84%]. https://chrome-commit-tracker.arthursonzogni.com/organizations/commits/?repositories=chromium&organizations=ARM,Igalia,Individuals,Intel,LGE,Micr

It's been a DECADE since I filed this WebKit bug for touch co-ordinates being integers, preventing smooth sliding and drawing.
It's the collection of all such neglect that make the WebKit restriction on iOS so harmful.

There's no public data on volume of push notifications, but I imagine sites like http://outlook.live.com (email) and https://twitter.com/ (social) have a lot of users who find push pretty useful (even though their permission accept rate is…
For example, 8% of the top 1000 sites in Greece have a push permission acceptance rate >50%. This includes:
https://aade.gr - public revenue authority
https://bet365.gr - sports gambling
https://lifo.gr - news
https://newmoney.gr - finance
I've been looking through Chrome public data on push notification usage in Europe. Did you know that there are 219 unique sites in the top 1000 per country with a greater than 50% push permission acceptance rate?

So should we just give up on any real platform investment diversity and just accept that Chromium will be >95% directed by Google?
Or perhaps we're just re-learning the lesson from history of capitalist vs. communist markets? That if we wa…
