The whole household is feeling whammied by the combination of flu and covid vaccines (and in my case, a lingering cold as well).

And, of course, both classrooms had a dusty and abandoned air purifier sitting unplugged and unused. And the teachers made sad and vaguely confused expressions when we said our child won’t be joining the overnight field trip.

Another sign that covid is surging, in addition to the uptick in covid-minimizing trolls: people getting increasingly bitey on the internet. It’s a pattern that I see playing out with each new outbreak.
