forge.sourceware.org has been update to @forgejo 16.0.2 and #anubis 1.26.1
Also @cadey worked with us to create Anubis 1.26.1 which fixes a small bug for gitweb and should be much more efficient. Thanks!
Now nginx also does blacklist for the datacenter AI scraper bots we identified earlier. Most ips are now explicitly rate limited. And ips that have been "authenticated" in the last month, used git over ssh, bugzilla or patchwork login, etc…
Then we added an nginx tls terminator in front of httpd which made the initial TLS handshake much more efficient. But again that efficiency was mostly eaten up by the AI scraperbots that now just initiated connections more efficiently...
At first we tried to just up our concurrent connection limit to 20,000. But as you can image the AI scraper bots almost immediately took advantage of that and all connections were quickly eaten up, now just using 4x as many resources...
