I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy books. I've been making two different efforts the last few years that are almost opposites in effect, to read more diverse voices in the modern books I pick up as well as to take more looks at some of the older foundational books of the genres I read. Both have led to some really good books.
I'm also a dad with a kid who's hitting just the right age to start introducing some of my old favorites.
