I stumbled across Tom Hill. A Lenape guy born in 1813. He ended up living near the headwaters of the Missouri River after the beaver hunting went bad. Him and his Nez Perce wife started living off buffalo hunting in the Gallatin valley in the late 1830s. He spent much time warning the others around him of the coming white folks & their murderous ways. He was a helluva warrior and well known. Good

Quick trip to Saugeen territory to celebrate Kegedonce Press 30th anniversary. Indigenous publishing is so central to our healing as a peoples. And being part of this celebration is so important. Cup of coffee and a drive south to Waawiiyaatanong awaits. Beautiful surroundings to be sure.
