Freedom To Thrive

NILC is launching the Freedom To Thrive Podcast. The 30-minute episodes will be hosted by NILC’s Executive Vice President of Narrative, Hector Flores, and will take a fresh look at immigration issues while infusing culture and NILC’s aspirational Freedom to Thrive vision into the current policy dialogue. The show will feature conversations with cultural influencers, artists, musicians, comedians, community organizers, activists and people at the center of policymaking to explore how we can create a society where everyone, regardless of how much money we have, what we look like, or where we were born, has the Freedom To Thrive. Conversations will begin with guests’ personal stories and explore current events. Topics will include: The stories, experiences, and contributions of immigrants in the U.S. The role of art and culture in advancing social change. Re-imagining the American Dream. Making sense of current narratives around immigrants and immigration. How we can shift hearts and minds by building power for pro-immigrant narratives.
