Kansas Matters explores all the stories that matter to Kansas. From the policy decisions that directly affect your life, to the people and places that make our state rich, Kansas Matters will examine what it is to be a Kansan - and what matters to Kansans. I’m Jason Probst, the host of Kansas Matters. I’ve always enjoyed learning about the towns that dot the Kansas landscape. And I’ve always enjoyed learning about the people who call Kansas home - and whose lives are filled with interesting stories waiting to be told. I built a career in journalism, telling the stories of our community and writing commentary that influenced policy and held Kansas government accountable. I’ve spent almost 8 years as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives. This experience has given me additional insight and understanding - which I’ll use to simplify the legislative process. Kansas Matters is a show dedicated to celebrating and improving our state - by examining what Matters to Kansas.
