Make the Road by Walking

Curiously and critically examining the work of teaching. Inspired by Paulo Freire and other pedagogical theorists, high school teacher and teacher educator Paul Lai ("Dr. PD") considers, converses, critiques, co-constructs, and curiously explores the work of liberation and love that teachers attempt in our classrooms. With special attention to language, literacy, and literature, but always interested in civics, culture, equity, and ecology, Paul discusses teaching strategies and methods, classroom texts and materials, and the politics and labor of education. We honor our youth, we learn from the frontlines, we put courage over ease, and we believe in the revolutionary power of hope.
