Maximus Grooves

Maximus Grooves is a product of Los Angeles’ underground movement, discovering rave culture at just 15 and immersing himself in its energy from the early ’90s forward. Raised in a music-filled home spanning ’80s and ’90s rock, hip-hop, reggae dub, old-school techno, and breakbeats, his sound was shaped by rhythm long before he stepped behind the decks. His DJ career officially launched in 2005, playing local bars and clubs before expanding to major stages including EDC, Lightning in a Bottle, Sublevels, Off The Grid, and Nocturnal Wonderland. A lifelong vinyl collector and sonic storyteller, Maximus crafts hypnotic, groove-driven journeys rooted in Deep Funky House and Techno Grooves, also blending soul, disco, dub textures, and underground grit into sets that honor the past while pushing forward. Founder of Tribal Underworld Music, he plays with heart, intention, and deep passion running through his blood.
