The Middle Ages may not seem all that topical or important in an age dominated by science and technology, yet for better or worse, the medieval period created the world we live in today. In "That's So Medieval," Ph.D. candidate Benjamin Bertrand tries to find the connections between the medieval Church and the modern world. Over the course of twelve episodes, he interviews academics and artists who examine and obsess over the medieval world, uncovering the surprisingly close connections between that distant past and our modern age.
