Spent the morning at Wolverhampton Central Library at their Time to Talk event. A simple but powerful reminder of how much these safe, informal spaces matter for wellbeing and connection. Great to catch up with Jennifer Lees and Helen White , talking through practical ways we can work more closely together and better support our communities. Libraries really are quiet connectors at the heart of it all. #WorkWell #CommunityConnexions #Reflexions775 views Spent the morning at Wolverhampton Central Library at their Time to Talk event. Yesterday the BCHFT Knowledge & Library Services team rolled up their sleeves at Walsall Libraries, searching through withdrawn stock to find books that can begin a second life in our patient libraries. What some may see as surplus books, we see as opportunities to support recovery, wellbeing, literacy, connection and moments of escape for patients across our services. By working together with local public libraries, we’re: Reducing waste and supporting sustainability Giving quality books a seco

Been a busy week with not many photo opportunities, but here are a few from today’s community event. Knowledge and Library Services were out supporting a psychosis awareness event delivered by our Early Intervention Team at the Trust. We had charities, voluntary organisations and primary care staff from across the Black Country in attendance. It was great to see Laura Barney’s enthusiasm in delivering the session, especially the examples she used to raise awareness and bring the topic to life. A

📚🦈 World Book Day at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust 🦈📚 World Book Day is all about celebrating stories, imagination, and the many ways reading can inspire us — and this year, we had a fin‑tastic reminder of that spirit from our very own staff member, Helen. Helen arrived dressed as a shark, proving that books don’t just live on the page — they leap into real life too. From childhood favourites to powerful non‑fiction, stories help us explore new ideas, see the world differently, a

Calling all staff at Edward Street Hospital Have you ever wondered what the Knowledge and Library Service has on offer? Now is your chance to find out. On Thursday 22nd January, from 10am - 2pm, library staff will be available to talk to. Ask us anything: How do ebooks work? Can I borrow an audiobook? How do I get this journal article? Where do I ask for support with doing a systematic review? How can I keep up to date with new publications? Look forward to seeing you there! #popuplibrary #bchf
