The perfect weather really made this enjoyable. I'd prepared for rain and wind, but luckily, there were no bugs either. It turned out to be an efficient trip. The road walks weren't much fun, but overall, it was better than the West Highland Way. I'm not sure if I'll find a better hike in the UK after this one. 80 miles alone on the Skye Trail in Scotland. I expected rain, wind, and difficult conditions. Instead, I got nearly perfect weather from start to finish. No bugs. Clear views. Long days moving through some of the most dramatic landscapes I've seen in the UK. The road walks weren't my favorite, but the mountains, coastline, and ridgelines more than made up for it. I hiked 88 miles alone across the Island of Mallorca This GR221 trail is called “the Dry Stone Route” and took me 5 days to complete. Days were spent hiking alongside the coastline, dipping in and out of beachside villages, stopping for occasional beers, pizzas and coffees and passing many mountain goats and occasional cats. Most nights I camped in my tent and had complete privacy while cooking ramen, watching the sunset and waking up to the sunrise. The island is beautiful and extremely popular
