Chestnut came to us in January in rough shape… underweight, needing immediate care, and a long road ahead of him. We didn’t hesitate to step in, and since then he’s had blood work, exams, a full refeeding plan, and ongoing care to help him recover. And he is recovering. We buried our child yesterday... Saoirse is gone, and it still doesn’t feel real to type those words. Yesterday she was a little off.
