Second Chance is an indie UK life simulation game set in a fictional city. Built from scratch by a solo developer, the game features realistic Victorian terrace houses, "bossman" corner shops, and authentic UK vehicles. Players run an underground street economy, using an in-game phone interface to manage inventory and order stock. They can approach pedestrians to recruit customers. A dynamic "heat" system tracks notoriety; if it peaks, police confiscate items, with future plans for house raids and courtroom scenes. The world features a day/night cycle, and NPCs with specific daily routines and turf. The project uses Unreal Engine, Blender, and Claude Code with Model Context Protocol (MCP) plugins to automate asset creation via text instructions. The developer imports real-world floor plans to correct architectural layouts. Funded alongside a day job, development relies on the cost-efficient Opus 5 model on the Max plan.
